Informativa privacy
Ultimo aggiornamento: 2 ottobre 2026
Chi tratta i dati
A chi arrivano i dati
I tuoi diritti

Privacy policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This page explains which personal data we process when you use nuvolapartments.com, book or stay with us, why we do it, how long we keep it and what your rights are, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Who processes your data
The data controller is Roberto Iacoban, who manages Nuvola Apartments, an apartment at Via Beinette 9, 10127 Turin, Italy (CIN IT001272C2Y4OEAPQV). For any question or request about your data: email [email protected], phone and WhatsApp +39 379 352 7552.
Booking on the website
What data. Full name, phone number, reason for the trip, dates, number of adults and children, chosen language. You enter your email and card details on Stripe's payment page: card details never pass through our website; from Stripe we receive your email, the amount and the payment result.
Why. To manage your booking, payment and stay, and to send you the check-in instructions. The reason for the trip helps us prepare your stay.
Legal basis. The accommodation contract you enter into with us and the steps before it (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Guest identification
Italian law (Article 109 of the Public Security Code) requires us to identify every guest and to report the required details to the police through the Polizia di Stato's Alloggiati Web portal: full name, sex, date and place of birth, citizenship, document type and number. For minors, the details are provided by the accompanying adult. Basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Collecting the documents and reporting them to the police is handled on our behalf by Chekin, the online check-in platform we work with: documents are kept on Chekin for 3 days and then deleted. We don't keep any copies.
The online identity check runs entirely in your phone's browser: the photo of your ID, the selfie and the face comparison are never uploaded or stored by us. Your GPS position is only used on your phone to check that you're at the apartment, and is not sent to us. For each attempt we only record the name you enter, date and time, the result and a numeric similarity score, to know who completed the check and to improve the service. At the end, you send us the result screen on WhatsApp yourself.
Messages and calls
If you message us on WhatsApp or call us, we use your number, your name and the content of your messages to reply and to manage your stay. Basis: the steps before a booking and the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta group), which processes data under its own privacy policy.
Browsing the website
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested pages to run the site and protect it from abuse. Basis: our legitimate interest in the security and operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We don't use profiling cookies or third-party analytics or advertising tools.
The Google map on the home page only loads if you open it with a tap: from then on Google may collect data such as your IP address and use cookies, under its own privacy policy. Until you open it, nothing is sent to Google.
Cookies and browser storage
We only use technical tools, which don't require consent:
- Language: your choice between Italian and English is saved in your browser.
- Booking in progress: a random code, kept in the tab's memory, avoids holding the dates twice if you go back from the payment page. It's cleared when you close the tab.
- Host area: a session cookie for the host's login. Visitors don't receive it.
Who receives your data
We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. It is only received by:
- Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, Ireland), for payments; it is an independent controller for card data.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which hosts the website and the bookings database.
- Chekin, for online check-in, document collection and police reporting.
- WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Limited), for messages.
- Turin police headquarters, through Alloggiati Web, and the City of Turin for the tourist tax, as required by law.
- Advisers and tax authorities, only when required by law.
Some of these providers may also process data in the United States: in that case the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by the GDPR (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
How long we keep it
- Confirmed bookings and payments: 10 years, for civil-law and tax obligations (Article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code).
- Incomplete bookings (payment not completed or failed): 12 months, to handle any requests or disputes; then they are deleted automatically.
- Guest documents: 3 days on Chekin, the time needed to report them to the police within the legal deadlines; then they are deleted.
- Identity check results (name, date, result): 12 months; then they are deleted automatically.
- Messages: as long as needed to manage your stay and any later requests.
- Technical browsing data: for short periods, under Cloudflare's rules.
Required data
Without your name, phone number and payment details we can't accept the booking. Police reporting data is required by law: without it, we can't host you.
Your rights
At any time you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, receive it in a readable format (portability) and object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Data we are legally required to keep is excluded. Email [email protected], message us on WhatsApp or call +39 379 352 7552: we reply within one month.
If you believe your data is not being handled correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).
Changes
If anything changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
